Denise Wisniewski is in her 20th year at Chestnut Hill College having been appointed in August 2003 as Assistant Athletic Director and Head Athletic Trainer. Wisniewski was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics in 2022.

As Chestnut Hill’s NCAA compliance Officer, a position she has held since 2007 when Chestnut Hill reclassified to NCAA Division II, she is primarily responsible for overseeing NCAA compliance for the institution’s 18 Division II intercollegiate athletic programs. She certifies the initial and continuing eligibility of the College’s 320 plus student athletes and maintains rules compliance for student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

Wisniewski also serves as the Athletic Department’s Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), and has held that position since 2004. The SWA is defined by the NCAA as the highest-ranking female involved in the management of an institution’s athletics program. The SWA serves as part of the senior management team and has oversight of both men’s and women’s sports. She is a past chair of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Senior Woman Administrators.

Wisniewski has been a National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) board certified Athletic Trainer since 1992. She continues to provide athletic training services at Chestnut Hill, working primarily with the College’s Sprint Football team.

An active administrator, Wisniewski currently serves on the NCAA Division II Men’s Tennis East Regional Advisory Committee as well as the NCAA Division II Student Athlete Reinstatement Committee. She also serves on the CACC infractions and ethics committees as well as the membership committee. Her previous experience includes work on the finance and gender equity committees for the CACC as well as serving as a Conference Commissioners Association of Compliance Administrators (CCACA) Mentor.

Wisniewski is a member of the Women Leaders in College Sports and a 2007 graduate of their Leadership Enhancement Institute (formerly NACWAA/HERS), the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC), and the NATA.

Wisniewski is an alumnus of Temple University having earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training in 1992. While an undergraduate she was a four-year member of the powerlifting team and a USPF National Champion in 1989. She earned her Master’s in Education in Sports and Recreation Administration from Temple University in 2003. She currently resides in Doylestown, PA
