Skillman, NJ – (5/16/2012) – The final Campbell's/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) College Tennis Rankings of the 2011-2012 season were released on April 25. After strong showings, the Chestnut Hill College's tennis teams were ranked among the ITA East Region's top ten institutions while five Griffins received individual recognition. The women's side ranked seventh and the men's side placed eighth with individual rankings being awarded to junior

The Chestnut Hill College (11-11, 5-1) men opened the year with three straight fall victories before resuming play in March with a spring trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina. The Griffins went winless on the trip, but returned to campus ready to challenge a tough spring schedule. They earned their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win with a 9-0 sweep of Post University on March 16, before taking their only league loss at the hands of Concordia College (NY) on March 21, 9-0. Key wins came on April 3 and April 11, with the Griffins scoring comeback, 5-4, home victories over USciences and Philadelphia University, respectively. Humes finished the year at 9-11 at number one singles and 10-11 overall, while Pham was 13-6 at number two singles, 15-6 overall. Humes ranked 19th as an individual and Pham ranked 20th.
The Chestnut Hill College (19-7, 7-1) women enjoyed their greatest season in program history, a 19-7 overall finish which culminated in the College's first trip to an NCAA DII Championship Tournament. The Griffins battled through their 2011 CACC schedule using their depth of talent to their advantage. Five Griffins posted at least ten individual victories, as did the Griffins top two doubles teams. The spring schedule opened with three consecutive wins in Hilton Head, South Carolina, before the Griffins completed their 2011-2012 schedule with 3-3 run. Atop the order, Shcherbakova finished 18-6 (.750) at number one singles, Dennis followed at number two singles with a 17-8 (.680) record, and at number three singles, Parapouras posted the Griffins best individual record with a 23-2 (.920) finish. Overall the Griffins were 104-49 (.680) when competing as individuals. Shcherbakova earned a 7th place individual ranking, while Parapouras ranked 16th, and Dennis 18th. In doubles play, the Griffins owned a 53-25 (.679) record. Strong at the top, the #5 regionally ranked duo of Shcherbakova and Dennis teamed for a 16-8 (.696) standing at number one doubles.
