Joseph Trujillo (Derry, NH) and senior
Owen Ward (Croydon, PA) finished third (29:07.75) and ninth (31:06.39), respectively, to run the Chestnut Hill College men's cross country team to a 4
th place finish (112 team points) among nine local rivals at the Belmont Classic. Fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member, Holy Family University won the five-mile race with 50 team points. Bryn Mawr College won the women's three-mile race thanks to a first place finish from Kristina Kronauer (Havard, MA), 20:28.89.
Three of the top five finishers were Tigers, helping Holy Family University to the win. Freshman Luis Romero (Union City, NJ) from Bloomfield College was the winner (28:10.46) and Trujillo was the other, placing third and leading Chestnut Hill College. Fellow seniors,
Julius Twyman (Coatesville, PA) and
Jeremy Goerlich trailed Ward with 19
th (32:30.48) and 47
th (37:55.75) place finishes, respectively. Freshman
Adam Drabinski (Drexel Hill, PA) was the fifth finishers for the Griffins, he placed 63
rd (43:08.77).

Isabella Murray (Summerfield, NC) and junior
Rosa Iott (Groton, CT) represented Chestnut Hill College in the women's race. Murray ran 8
th (23:18.83) for her first top-ten finish and Iott came in 51
st (31:51.18).
The cross country teams return to Belmont Plateau again next week for the Jack St. Clair Memorial Meet. The women are scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start and the men will follow at 1:00 p.m.
