Philadelphia, PA – (8/27/2010) – As the caravan of cars filled the Fournier Circle and lined Tobacco Road the images of a new school year were realized throughout the campus of Chestnut Hill College. Today, Friday, August 27, the Chestnut Hill College community welcomed the Griffins back to campus.
Serving as community ambassadors and reaching out to their fellow classmates, the Chestnut Hill College student-athletes assisted in the move-in process. Women's tennis was the first of many to lend a helping hand, as the fall sports teams took turns moving in the arriving residents. Check-in started at 8:00 a.m. and the Griffins were there to help carry boxes, refrigerators, and other personal effects. Since 2004, the fall student-athletes have volunteered their time to assist on move-in day.
